- Returns Policy -

No returns accepted for any reason beyond 30 days after the date of the delivery -- No Exceptions

Orders cancelled before they are shipped will be issued a full refund.  However, once an item has been shipped, customers are responsible for shipping charges, both ways, and possible restocking fee. Cancellation requests must be made via our support ticket system - Contact Us.  We will email you a cancellation number. Orders are not cancelled until you have a cancellation number.  Order Cancels/Refused Shipments - Once shipped from GPS-Planet, orders may not be canceled.  Customers who refuse shipment are liable for a 10% restock fee along with the shipping costs of the order

We DO NOT have a "Use It & Return It policy".  Please make sure that you are purchasing the RIGHT device for YOUR application.  We recommend you download and study the owner's manuals from the manufacturer's website before placing your order.  No returns accepted for any reason past 30 days of delivery.

Products returned in new condition, in their unopened, unmarred, manufacturer’s packaging, within 30 days of delivery will be charged a 5% restocking fee.  If the manufacturer's box has been opened or the product has been turned on, a 10% restocking fee will be charged.  Additional deductions will be made for any missing, marred or damaged items. Returned products that are not in resalable condition will not be accepted for return (except if defective, see below) and will be refused and returned to the customer at customer's expense. Software products are NOT returnable unless defective (see "defective software" below).

How do I obtain a Return Authorization (RMA) number and how long is it valid for?
Contact Us to submit a request for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.  We are unable to accept any returns without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RA) number.  RMA numbers are valid for 10 days from the date of issue - please ensure that your return is postmarked within this time period or your return will be refused and no credit issued.

Returned products must be received at the GPS-Planet warehouse within 30 days of delivery to qualify for refund or replacement.  Items received after 30 days of delivery will be refused and returned to customer at customer's expense and no refund will be issued. All returns must have a valid RMA number obtained by contacting GPS-Planet via our support system.  Returned product must have a valid RMA number written on the shipping label or package.  Return shipments without a valid RMA number will be refused. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges to GPS-Planet's warehouse.  Customer is responsible for loss or damage to products being shipped for return, therefore we advise that insurance be purchased from the carrier.

Any defective GPS:  We must be notified of any defective product within 15 days of delivery for replacement with an identical item.  If you decline the replacement of your defective item and prefer to return it for refund, it will be subject to the standard 10% restocking fee.  After 15 days of delivery, all defective product claims must be directed to the manufacturer or warranty provider for evaluation and support under the manufacturer's warranty and returns policy.  Before requesting the return of a defective GPS, accessory or software, we recommend that you first contact the manufacturer (see contact information) to see if the problem can be remedied through technical support.  If the manufacturer’s technical support staff cannot resolve the problem, then request an RMA# as outlined below. The defective return must include the manufacturer’s packaging and everything the manufacturer’s package originally contained.  You pay the return shipping of the defective item and we pay for Ground shipping of the replacement. We will test and confirm the defect and ship a replacement as quickly as possible, although this process can take up to 10 days to complete.  If the product is deemed not defective by our technicians, it will be returned to the customer with a $15 return shipping charge.  Defective products will be replaced with the same product and will not be exchanged for a different product. If the customer decides to return a defective product for a refund rather than receive a replacement product, the return will be subject to our 10% restocking fee.

Any defective Software:  Due to the nature of software sales and copyright laws, defective software cannot be returned for anything other than replacement of the identical item purchased. We will replace defective software within 30 days from the shipment date. All defective software must be returned in its original packaging and must include the original box, manuals and accessories that came with it. Your software will be tested by a technician before a replacement is processed. Software that is returned as defective, which cannot be verified, or is damaged due to apparent misuse or neglect will incur a minimum 20% restocking fee or it will be sent back at your expense and a replacement will not be processed.

Lost or Stolen packages: The customer understands and agrees that GPS-Planet and Global Stores Direct LLC will not be liable for lost or stolen packages once the package has left our store.  We will assist the customer by filing a claim with the carrier (UPS, FedEx or USPS), but the final determination will be made by the carrier whether a credit or refund will be issued.  Refunds or replacements will not be made by us until the carrier has approved the claim which can take up to 30 days.  If the carrier denies the lost or stolen package claim, we will not issue any credit or refund.  If a package is stolen, please contact us immediately through our Support System.  Also, check to see if the package was left with a neighbor.

Excluded Items - The following items have a NO RETURNS policy and will not be accepted for return for any reason:  ALL CoPilot products, ALL software, ALL preprogrammed memory cards, ALL tracking devices (LandAirSea, SkyPatrol, Spot Messenger, etc).

Damaged in Transit - In the rare event that an item arrives damaged, please refuse shipment if damage is external or notify us within 48 hours if the damage is concealed. WE CAN NOT ACCEPT DAMAGE CLAIMS AFTER 48 HOURS from delivery date. GPS-Planet, at it's sole discretion, will either ship a replacement or issue a full refund when and if the claim is settled with the carrier.

No returns accepted for any reason beyond 30 days after the date of the delivery.

Chargeback Terms and Conditions:  Please do not issue a charge back or dispute with your credit card company.  All charge backs will be turned over to a collections agency to recover amounts unpaid, plus fees.  This will affect your future credit score.  Finally, because this is considered theft, we may take legal action against you. The customer agrees to pay all legal fees and court costs incurred by Global Stores Direct and GPS-Planet with litigation to take place in St. Lucie county, Florida.

We accept the following credit cards:  Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.  We charge Florida customers, applicable Florida Sales Tax.  We only accept credit cards issued by U.S. banks with billing addresses in the U.S.   Transactions on GPS-Planet.com are 100% secure with 128-bit encrypted SSL technology. 

Shipping Information

We offer the following shipping methods:

UPS 2nd Day (2 Business Days)
UPS 3 Day (3 Business Days)
UPS Next Day Air (Next Business Day)

Shipping to an address that is different from your Billing address will delay your order until we can verify the shipping address.  The Billing phone number must match what is on file with your credit card company. This is for your protection as well as ours.
We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not match what is on file with your credit card company.

We can only ship to physical addresses - no P.O. boxes.  We reserve the option to use other shipping companies, including FedEx and and USPS.  Orders placed on the weekend will usually be shipped on the next business day.  However, we cannot guarantee that any package will be shipped on time or that it will arrive on time.

** Hawaii and Alaska orders can ONLY be shipped by UPS 2nd Day Air.

International Orders

We are currently only shipping to destinations in the United States.


Warranty:

Products requiring Service, either Warranty or otherwise, should be returned directly to the appropriate Manufacturer. GPS-Planet.com does not do repairs.


Backorders:

 GPS-Planet.com will usually notify you by email within 24 hours if an item is out of stock.  If you don’t want to wait, you may cancel your order by submitting a support ticket - Contact Us.   If we do not hear from you before we ship the merchandise to you, we will assume that you have agreed to this shipment delay.  We will ship the backordered item as soon as it arrives here.

If we are unable to ship the merchandise within 30 days or less, we will automatically cancel your order and you will receive a prompt refund.


Disclaimer and Liability:

By purchasing any product or device from GPS-Planet or Global Stores Direct LLC, the customer agrees to our Terms and Conditions, including our Liability clause:

GPS-Planet, Global Stores Direct LLC, its owners, employees and representatives are not responsible for the proper use or installation of any product or device.  The customer assumes all responsibility for the use and installation of all products and devices.  The customer assumes all liability for any direct or indirect damages to people and physical property in the use and installation of all products and devices purchased from GPS-Planet and Global Stores Direct LLC.  GPS-Planet and Global Stores Direct LLC are not responsible in any form, directly or indirectly, for damages to people or personal property arising from the purchase of any products or devices from GPS-Planet and Global Stores Direct LLC.  The sole responsibility for the proper use and installation of products and devices purchased from GPS-Planet and Global Stores Direct LLC, rests entirely on the customer who purchases those products or devices.  Global Stores Direct LLC and GPS-Planet assume no responsibility or liability for loss of wages or income or any other expenses due to any actions by us. The customer, his survivors, and assigns agree not to hold GPS-Planet or Global Stores Direct LLC responsible for any damages, and the customer agrees to pay for any and all court costs and legal fees resulting from any litigation or law suits filed against GPS-Planet, Global Stores Direct LLC, its owners, employees or representatives. Any legal claims or litigation must be filed in St. Lucie County Florida.  Fraudulent charge backs against Global Stores Direct LLC may require legal action to recover funds reversed by the issuing bank or credit card company involved in the transaction.  Our remedy may include litigation in court and the customer agrees to pay all legal fees and court costs associated with a claim by Global Stores Direct in St. Lucie county Florida Small Claims court.

GPS-Planet, Global Stores Direct LLC, its owners, employees and representatives are not responsible for manufacturer's claims or descriptions of products, nor the accuracy or suitability of any product.

It is the user's responsibility to use our products prudently. GPS units are intended to be used only as a navigational aid and must not be used for any purpose requiring precise measurement of direction, distance, location, or topography.  Statistics provided such as trip time are best estimates and may not accurately reflect true conditions.  The Global Positioning System (GPS) is operated by the United States Government, which is solely responsible for its accuracy and maintenance. The system is subject to changes which could affect the accuracy and performance of all GPS equipment.  For use in vehicles, it is the sole responsibility of the owner/operator of the GPS unit to place and secure it so that it will not interfere with the vehicle operating controls and safety devices, obstruct the driver's view of driving conditions, or cause damage or personal injury in the event of an accident.  Do not mount the GPS unit in a place where the driver or passengers are likely to impact it in an accident or collision. The mounting hardware supplied with the GPS unit is not warranted against collision damage or the consequences thereof. When used in vehicles, it is the sole responsibility of the driver of the vehicle to operate the vehicle in a safe manner, to maintain full surveillance of all driving conditions at all times, and not become distracted by the GPS system to the exclusion of safe driving practices. It is unsafe to operate the controls of the GPS system while you are driving.  Failure by the driver of a vehicle, equipped with a GPS unit, to pay full attention to the operation of the vehicle and road conditions while the vehicle is in motion could result in an accident or collision with property damage and personal injury or death.  GPS-Planet, Global Stores Direct LLC and it's employees and owners are not responsible for any damages, or injuries, directly or indirectly caused by the use of a GPS unit.  The owner of the GPS unit assumes all risks associated with the use of a GPS unit.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GPS-PLANET, GLOBAL STORES DIRECT LLC, AND OTHER SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.


NOTICE TO DRIVERS IN CALIFORNIA AND MINNESOTA: State law prohibits drivers in California and Minnesota from using suction mounts on their windshields while operating motor vehicles. Other dashboard or friction mounting options should be used. GPS-Planet does not take any responsibility for any fines, penalties, or damages that may be incurred as a result of disregarding this notice. (See California Vehicle Code Section 26708(a); Minnesota Statutes 2005, Section 169.71)

GPS-Planet.com is not responsible for typographical errors. Incorrect prices because of a typographical error or wholesale price changes, will not be honored.  Because the wholesale cost of electronics are constantly fluctuating, we may change our prices, policies and terms at any time.
