Place the water-resistant unit under the car or choose a number of alternative placement options such as the rear speaker deck, inside the dashboard, under a seat or in a seat pocket. Because the GPS Tracking Key Pro® directly captures and records data from Global Positioning System satellites in space, the GPS Tracking Key Pro® system is not dependent on a wireless network and therefore involves no monthly service fees! Our custom Past-Track software offers GPS tracking system users three viewing options: a text report, a depiction of the vehicle’s route on an animated map, or – the most popular option – tracking over a satellite map from Google Earth. Past-Track works with any Windows-based operating system, but is not Mac compatible. The TracKing® offers the user different power options. Besides batteries, the unit can be connected to a cigarette lighter, or be hardwired directly to the vehicle’s power supply. Accessory cables are available for this purpose. The software that is provided includes animated, digital street maps where the user may review all or portions of a trip. The path is clearly identified and color-coded to isolate various speeds. The path traveled and the stops can also be displayed on the popular Google Earth program. A powerful magnet allows rapid installation of the GPS Tracking Key Pro®. The water-resistant frame makes outside mounting possible. When the vehicle is not in use, an on-board motion sensor puts the unit in “sleep” mode to save battery power. Features of the GPS Tracking Key Pro® include an on/off power switch, an easy-access battery compartment and LED status lights. An optional accessory cable allows the GPS Tracking Key Pro® to connect to a cigarette lighter or other 12-volt power source.
